Education Sponsorship

At Mountains to Mountains, we believe education and literacy are an essential pathway out of poverty. It is important that each child receive a quality education. These children are the future leaders of their nation, and it is up to us to help prepare them for that task.

While we are striving to have all children at Jerusalem Children’s Home fully sponsored for their education, many of the nearly 200 families of children who attend Jerusalem’s School are unable to cover the cost of tuition. Because of the heart of the Maurancy family, these children are not turned away. For this reason, we reserve a portion of these sponsorship dollars for the dedicated teachers, who often work without pay. This allows the teachers to receive pay that they need to care for their families, and it lessens the burden on the staff.
