This level of sponsorship will help cover the cost of the most essential needs of the child: food, water, soap, shampoo, and toothpaste and toothbrushes. It also helps to cover incidental medical care and grounds security at Jerusalem Children’s Home.

At Mountains to Mountains, we believe education and literacy are an essential pathway out of poverty. It is important that each child receive a quality education. These children are the future leaders of their nation, and it is up to us to help prepare them for that task.

While we are striving to have all children at Jerusalem Children’s Home fully sponsored for their education, many of the nearly 200 families of children who attend Jerusalem’s School are unable to cover the cost of tuition. Because of the heart of the Maurancy family, these children are not turned away. For this reason, we reserve a portion of these sponsorship dollars for the dedicated teachers, who often work without pay. This allows the teachers to receive pay that they need to care for their families, and it lessens the burden on the staff. If you have a passion for the importance of learning, please consider sponsoring education.

The duration of our summer mission trip is longer, running 10-12 days. This allows plenty of time for team members to engage with the children of Jerusalem Children’s Home orphanage. In addition, we will focus on building projects alongside Haitian workers, a food distribution, evangelism, community outreach, and other projects that may arise that our Lord sees fit to use us for. We will be looking to assemble a team of 9-18 individuals (age 15 to adult). No experience is necessary, just a willingness to serve and work as part of a team. We encourage parents to travel with their minor child(ren), but it is not required.
